Ivory Bangle

THE STORY:

Hand etched faux ivory with bronze metal clay embedded accents

This striking and dramatic handcrafted bangle will elicit comments and compliments.  Polymer has been called the chameleon clay.  It can emulate stone, glass, porcelain, pottery and a myriad of other surfaces.

This faux ivory bangle is one of a series that appeared on the cover of Belle Armoire Jewelry Magazine.  The gold tone accents are bronze metal clay that has been embedded in the polymer before curing.  Each side is etched and antiqued with a primitive pattern of lines and shapes.  The oval center is perfect for all wrist sizes.

THE SIZE:

THE ARTIST:

Laurie Prophater - Kiawah Island, South Carolina

The challenge of seeing a design in another medium and translating it into polymer has always been my driving force.  Taking the "what if" road to design completion has opened another avenue of artistic expression as a contributing artist in Belle Armoire Jewelry Magazine.
