THE ARTIST:

LuAnn Rosenzweig, Mt. Pleasant, SC

LuAnn creates beautiful, one-of-a-kind apparel, accessories and scarves, using an eclectic variety of new and recycled fabrics. LuAnn upcycles vintage silk clothing and mens’ silk ties to create her colorful, hand-dyed silk scarves. She also uses these vintage silks to add surface design to some of her jackets. Her line of cotton origami jackets start out as 6 separate squares of fabric that are sewn together in a straight line. Through folding and minimal cutting, the squares evolve into a swing jacket with raglan sleeves.
